SeaWaves Completes Web Site for Valarie’s Place

SeaWaves, in conjunction with Thord Hedengren, have completed a bright, vivid and colorful design for Valarie’s Place, a unique restaurant in the heart of Sea Isle City, NJ.

Valarie’s is one of the mainstay restaurants that fuels us here at SeaWaves so we were especially glad to design the website. Our greatest hope in starting this project was to capture the friendly and energetic personality of the restaurant’s owner, Valarie. We think we got it just right. Take a look and we think you’ll like what you see.

SeaWaves Wraps Up Development On Eatonweb

After three hard months of development, we are pleased to be able to announce the BETA launch of the new Eatonweb Blog Directory. The project was a lot of fun, especially working with maestro designer Mr. Thord Hedengren.

Eatonweb is the oldest blog directory on the planet. Yep. It was the first one. So the honor of working on a sight with such prestige was a bit daunting.

And after much sweat and blood, we’re proud of what we’ve achieved. It was our biggest development project yet, and while there’s still some tweaking to do, we’re happy with the result.

The idea behind the directory’s “resurrection” was to make a blog directory that matters. There are thousands of directories out there. We wanted to do something different.

We came up with the idea of creating a proprietary blog metric that measures 2 primary aspects of each blog in the directory. First, we measure the perceived influence and strength of each blog . Then, we track the strength over time and we call it a momentum metric.

Why does this matter? Well, for one, it allows blog owners to track the growth or decline of their own blogs. But it also offers blog buyers/sellers a concrete way to evaluate the health of a blog. Further, it allows us to list the most “healthy” blogs first - in other words, it rewards strong, growing sites.

So we’ve set out to create a blog directory that matters, and again, we’re still tweaking the system, but overall, we’re very happy with what we’ve produced!

Creating things is one of the greatest joys in life!

SeaWaves Acquires Nine New Websites

SeaWaves is pleased to announce the acquisition of nine new websites, many of which are blogs. This acquisition was performed for the primary purpose of linkbuilding and niche leveraging. While none of these blogs is at the top of its niche, they each show some promise and we hope to develop them over the coming year.

SeaWaves is pleased to announce that we’ve hired two lead editors for The Dog Guide. Both Claire and Dan work for Philapets, one of the most well-established pet care companies in Philadelphia. As dog professionals, they bring expert knowledge and experience to the massive project that SeaWaves has undertaken in creating one of the premier dog sites on the internet.

We are extremely happy to have Claire and Dan on board and can’t wait to see how the Dog Guide develops over the next few years.

SeaWaves Acquires Celebrity Cowboy Blog

SeaWaves is pleased to announce the acquisition of Celebrity Cowboy to compliment our growing presence in the celebrity blog space. We were attracted to the site’s strong PageRank and deep presence on the web.

SeaWaves hopes that its growing presence in the celebrity blog niche will lead to unique opportunities with high-end advertisers. In addition to Celebrity Cowboy, SeaWaves also produces the PopCrunch Network.
