One of our new clients is called Paper Proofreader. While we work on developing their e-commerce website, we decided to put up a page describing the services they will provide with editing and proofreading papers.

Why did we do this? Mainly to prime the pump. To start the aging process on the domain. Any new domain needs to age a bit before it is taken seriously. Given that it will take us a few months to develop this site, we hope that once we are ready we can hit the ground running.

As a general rule, we recommend that all new domains get up and running, even if in minimalistic fashion, as soon as possible. Otherwise, you might find yourself waiting and waiting for the search engines to take your serious.

So, good luck to PaperProofreader.com as you start on the great new adventure of running a web business.

If you’re looking for the best of the best when it comes to high-impact, full throttle web promotion and online marketing you can’t do much better than Performancing.

While SeaWaves does a fantastic job with web promotion and link building for smaller companies and entry-level projects, our services don’t scale up to the corporate level. But that’s ok. Because we trust the team at Performancing to do the very best job possible if you’re looking to hit an instant homerun with your website.

Performancing offers three great services, which cover all the bases for getting the widest possible exposure for your website.

The first service is called Social Media Marketing. That’s just a fancy name for Massive Traffic Builder! With their Social Media Marketing product, you’ll see both a massive influx of visitors and long-term growth for your website.

The second service is called Blog Management Services. As the name implies, Performancing can create a powerful, well designed blog and run it too. Now that’s what you call “turnkey” – from design and optimization to launch and weekly maintenance, Performancing’s team of professionals will help you develop a maximally effective blog for your business.

The third service is called Authority Builder, and personally, it’s our favorite. Why? Because we truly believe that to become successful on the Internet, you need to establish authority and respect. But why put in all the hard work yourself, when you can easily fail? Performancing does the hard work for you, and delivers exactly what you should want out of your businesses online presence.

Because we believe so much in this product, and think that it really is the key to online success, SeaWaves is proud to be a partner with the very best in the business – Performancing Services. If you want the best, don’t look anywhere else.

Our dog site The Dog Guide is hosting a monthly dog photo contest. Each month we pick the top 3 submission to our dog photo contest and award a $30 $20 and $10 prize.

Ever since we acquired The Dog Guide we’ve been very happy with the progress the site has made. Not only have we hired an editor of the site, but we have also started taking the steps to move the site to the next level. Part of that plan is this contest. Future plans that are already in the works include the development of online dog video tutorials. So stayed tuned for great things.

But in the meantime!!! If you have a dog, and take lots of digital photos, why not submit them to our dog photo contest! You might even win!

So, you have a website. A nice website, at that. But no one’s coming to visit.

The problem is that the old adage “If you build it they will come” no longer applies on the internet. You can’t just build it…you’ve got to promote it, too.

Here is a nine step solution to get started with web promotion:

The first two steps have you submit your website to the two most important directories on the internet.

1. Submit your website to the Yahoo Directory
2. Submit your website to the DMOZ directory

The next three steps require that you build links to your website through article and press release submission:

3. Write a 400-600 word article having to do with the topic of your website. Include two links back to your website and submit the article to Ezinearticles

4. Write a 400 word press release and submit it to PRLeap and Inewswire

5. Write another 400-600 word article having to do with the topic of your website. Include two links back to your website and submit the article to Ezinearticles (yes, again)

The next four steps involve more web directory submissions:

6. Submit your website to the SiteSnoop directory

7. Submit your website to the Linkopedia directory

8. Submit your website to one or more of the following (expensive) directories: Best of the Web, MSN Central, Business.com.

9. Track down the top three “niche” directories for your website. Submit to all three.

An example of a niche is “Real Estate.” The best three Real Estate directories are :
Reals Network,Real Estate ABC, IRED
